New Zealand Made, Quality Razor Wire
ArmourBarb™ Razor Wire is manufactured in New Zealand from the highest quality galvanised steel.
The barb profile is stamped from metal tape, then machine-formed into a groove into which high tensile wire is fed and pressed into place. Finally the fully formed ArmourBarb™ Razor Wire is twisted to form rings.

ArmourBarb Razor Wire is available in two profiles and three configurations, to accommodate a wide range of security requirements.
ArmourBarb™ Long Barb
The ultimate in access prevention, ArmourBarb Long Barb is a high-security solution for high risk premises, including prisons, military installations or explosive areas.
ArmourBarb™ Short Barb
A strong deterrent to unlawful access, ArmourBarb Short Barb is predominantly used for commercial or industrial sites.
Multiple Configurations, Maximum Security
Depending on your security requirements, chose from Rings, Coils or Clipped Concertina configurations. The standard ArmourBarb Razor Wire ring diameter is 450mm, and larger Ring dimensions (e.g. 600mm, 750mm and 900mm) can be manufactured to order.
Ideal usages of ArmourBarb Rings include the top of gates, or bottom of security fencing. Both applications act as an additional deterrent to unlawful entry.
ArmourBarb Coils can be used atop security fencing or other fixed structures. This adds a significant visual and physical barrier to entry.
ArmourBarb Concertina offers the highest security deterrent available. Made from precision steel, and featuring double clipped rings Concertina is durable and extremely difficult to defeat.
The Ultimate Perimeter Protection
Standard Length
ArmourBarb Coil and Concertina products have 51 loops in a standard length. Therefore Concertina configuration, due to its double coiling, provides half the extended length of the Single Coil. Single Coil – 15m, Concertina – 7.5m.
Standard Diameter
ArmourBarb is manufactured to a standard ring diameter of 450mm. Other diameters such as 600mm, 750mm and 900mm can be manufactured to order.
Materials
Galvanised steel is used to manufacture ArmourBarb tape as it is durable in high security areas. In extremely corrosive environments stainless steel is used. High tensile galvanised wire is used in most ArmourBarb products but spring steel is available for extra protection.

Installation and Safety
In the interest of safety, ArmourBarb Razor Wire should only be installed by a trained and experienced installer. Hampden Fence advises that the failure to install these products within the listed guidelines, or failure to handle them with due care, could result in serious injury. No responsibility for damage or injury caused by misuse or mishandling of these products can be accepted by Hampden Fence Ltd.
Warning signs must be clearly displayed on all structures to which ArmourBarb is affixed. The signs must state: Danger – Property Protected by ArmourBarb. DO NOT touch or climb. ArmourBarb recommends that the supplied warning signs be fixed at 10m intervals along the running length of the fence.
