Kristian Baldwin
General Manager

Kristian has worked in the construction industry for over 15 years, 10 of which have been at Hampden Fence. His role includes managing the performance of the business and overseeing all departments. He takes a hands-on approach to his work, providing design advice to customers – be it main contractors, architects or the end user. He is often the project manager for larger jobs, and is known for his ability to find innovative solutions to complex customer security issues. When he’s not at work, Kristian enjoys cruising on his motorbike, fishing and socialising.

Sharon Brady
Account Manager

With over 15 years in the construction industry, Sharon has the experience and knowledge to provide leadership skills to the sales and operations team. She has worked at Hampden Fence for two and a half years, during which time she has helped establish a number of processes which have helped the business to run more smoothly and efficiently. A people person, Sharon, has an extensive client base, with many customers requesting repeat work. Away from the office, Sharon likes a different type of project - renovating houses. A devoted animal lover, she also enjoys gardening.

James Johnson
Project Manage

James Johnson started with Hampden Fence on 5 July as Project Manager having very recently moved here from South Africa with his wife and two children. He's wasted no time since arriving too - already into the thick of it on all of our key projects. An understated and approachable guy, James brings with him a lot of experience and initiative, and he's quickly picking up on the unique requirements of the market in New Zealand.

Alan Butterworth
Factory Manager

When it comes to building custom-made fencing and gates, there’s not much that Alan doesn’t know. He’s been in the fabrication industry for 27 years, having started on the shop floor and working his way up through supervisor roles. He has had various engineer roles within New Zealand, and once worked at prestigious British company Rolls Royce Aerospace.  Alan has worked at Hampden Fence for a year and a half and his job is to oversee the daily running of the factory, assist the sales team in quoting and create processes and ways to improve production and quality. It’s his job to make sure product is available on time for the installation team. ‘Off duty’, Alan enjoys spending time with his wife and three young boys, riding a motorbike and fishing.

Luke Edmonds
Factory Supervisor

Luke has 15 years’ experience fabricating in the fencing industry, and has been working at Hampden Fence for the past five years. His role involves helping with the day-to-day supervision of the factory and delegating work to the team. With strong attention to detail, Luke inspects all products before they leave the factory and oversees quality control. He is always up for a challenge and is driven by tight, demanding deadlines. At weekends, you can find Luke getting away from it all at a quiet spot, indulging in his passion for fishing.

Mike Faiva
Senior Team Leader

Mike has over 17 years of experience in the fencing industry, including fabrication and installation in the commercial/residential sectors. He joined the Hampden Fence team three and a half years ago leading site teams, site managing larger projects and providing assistance to the sales and operation team. He enjoys learning about new techniques and processes in the fencing world and will always find a solution to a difficult fence or gate problem. When he’s not working, Mike is a huge sports fan, both playing and watching, and he relaxes by spending time with his wife and children.

Lyle Prichard
Estimator

Lyle has worked at Hampden Fence for three years and his time as a team leader with the company has supported the development to his current estimating role within the sales and operation team. His main tasks include pricing tenders, site visits and preparing jobs for installation. He is at his happiest when helping to secure new business and providing solutions to difficult fencing problems.  Away from work, Lyle is a huge fan of gaming, sports and heavy metal music.

Peter Brook
Chairman

Peter Brook has more than 20 years experience in commercial and investment banking. He retired from his role as Managing Director of Merrill Lynch (New Zealand) Ltd in 2000 to undertake his own business consulting and professional directorships. Peter chairs our board with intelligence, fiscal acuity and vision. Peter is a sought after business advisor and also currently acts as Director of Argosy Property Ltd, Chairman of Burgerfuel Worldwide Ltd and several other private companies.

Sir Noel Robinson
Director

Sir Noel Robinson, knighted in 2006 for his  service to business and the community, was the founder and Managing Director of Robinson Industries. Sir Noel’s keen business acumen ensures we stay ahead of the game and have a robust future. Sir Noel also chairs several charitable trusts and has a major events centre in Auckland named in his honour.

Sean Foster
Director

Sean Foster co-founded ASPL in 2004.  Due to his foresight and skills in innovative design, product development and management of quality manufacturing, ASPL now has the most extensive range of quality fence and gate hardware in the Australasian market. Sean has an MBA and a Bachelor of Science as well as a great passion for the dog sport Schutzhund.

Gareth Knight
Group CEO

Gareth Knight has 15 years experience in the building hardware industry, and as former General Manager of Downee Australia, he knows this industry inside out. Gareth is responsible for the strategic direction of the business and provides the insight and vision needed to take ASPL beyond current industry standards and expectations. Gareth has an MBA and Masters in Engineering and represented New Zealand in Judo for the 2002 Commonwealth Games.
